Can someone please tell me about the 4×4 on a 1999 ford explorer i just bought?

  1. ot is not hard
    4 high can be engaged and 0-40 and took out at those speeds as well
    4 low you will need to be completely stopped and in neturall hold the brake pedal frimly down then push button to get it out reverse the process

  2. Go to one of the Ford sponsored sites like where you can download all the Owner information for your vehicle for free. There is even a brochure on using your 4 wheel drive.

  3. You shouldn’t drive much faster than 45 mph in 4wd. A good way to look at it is if you need to be in 4wd, then you shouldn’t be going that fast anyways.
