is there a big difference in the amount of gas a 2001 ford f150 supercrew 5.4 L engine and a 4.6L engine one?
efb asked:
we cant really seem to find a 4.6 engine one that is 4×4 and we arent sure whether to buy the 5.4L one since i do not want to waste alot of money on gas! so wat is the difference bt wasting gas

4×4’s use a lot more gas so they probly don’t make a 4.6L one

That’s almost a full litre difference in the engine, so yes, I’d say that there’s a substantial difference in the amount of gas you use. This should give you a bit of a gauge.
I recently switched from a ‘93 6-cylinder 3.3 litre engine van to a ‘96 Civic with a 4-cylinder 1.6 litre engine. The van has about a 60 litre gas tank and can take me a little under 400kms. The Civic has a 40 litre tank and it can take me just a little over 425kms.

Get the 5.4L. The 4.6L engine is gutless and you will probably use more fuel with it just to keep speed (especially if you are carrying a load). I worked for Ford for 13 years as a tech. I’ve heard all the horror stories about the 4.6L. If you get the 4.6L you will hate yourself until you get rid of it.
