4×4 ford truck or keep my old 2wd nissan?
Slim D asked:
I currently have a 97 nissan pickup 2wd that gets over 20mpg. I was considering selling this and trying to buy a 1970 -1975 ford pickup 4×4 for cheap and then lifting it about 12 inches for some big tires. What kind of gas mileage will this truck get? hmm. what should i do?

The Ford will get crappy MPGs but it will be way more. 4×4 is a must for any truck.

You will lose drivability, and gain mechanical problems with an older truck. Keep the Nissan. Gas will go up eventually and you will regret it, unless you are loaded with $$$$$.

the ford truck will get about 8-10 mpg max. its a ford (P.O.S.) so it will also have tons of problems. unless you’re rich stick to the shitbox nissan or choose a different 4×4.

Keep both, because you can’t be sure how long that 30 year old car will last or pass inspection.
