I’m looking at buying a used Ford Ranger. A lot of ones I see are 2000’s with around 100,000 miles. About how long or how many miles will they last without serious repairs?

  1. 100,00 to 125,000 miles but a Nissan Frontier lasts from 125,00 to 150,000 miles.

  2. depending on the care of the truck. your definately at the last legs of the Ranger motor wise it will likely smoke a little in the morning and may not pass smog checks without fresh tune ups and the like.
if you could find one with a good body but a blown motor at a great price it would be worth getting a new motor and clutch or rebuilt auto trans. they ride good get good milage. you can get a used Ranger cheeper than that Nissan pickup the other guy mentioned and I dont like paying more because it has a name more popular. the Ranger rides better than the Nissan
