My friend has a 1987 ford ranger 4×4 and we want to go up to the mountains, and we don’t know how to put it into 4×4. it has locking hubs, i just don’t know if you lock them into 4×4 first or pull the ever inside to 4×4 low.
and does it have to be in neutral, or does the truck have to be off.

I have a 1993 ford ranger 4×4 3.0L V6
It needs a power steering pump, a steering gear box, and a serpentine belt… how much do you think is a reasonable amount to pay a mechanic for repairs including labor?

easybreeze asked:
I’m converting my 2003 ranger to a diesel engine so I can then made modifications to run it on vegetable oil. I’m hoping to find a diesel engine that will drop right in without any new engine mounting brackets, transmition bell adaptors, ect. I’ve been told a 2.2 Mazda diesel from the 80 may be the answer. Thanks for the answers!

CBS asked:
I have a 04 Explorer 4×4 with a hose that has come loose around the transmission and is leaking what I think is transmission fluid. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what might cause this. It isn’t leaking a lot of fluid and I am not having any problems with my car other than fluid on my garage floor. I am just affraid it might mean I have a bad seal in my transmission or transfer case. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
