I have been having problems with my 4×4 on my 1998 Ford Ranger. It seems sometimes it will work and other times it will not. When it is not working both the 4×4 high and low lights on the dash flash on and off about 8 times and continue to do so about every 10 minutes while driving. It jerks after it is warmed up. I shut the key off and turn it right back on , and it will run right again for a little way, then do it all over again. It is a standard , It has a 2.9 under the hood.

I have a 1991 ford ranger reg cab 4×4 15 inch stock wheels and i want to get some new tires and i want to know if anyone has anyhting like this and what size mud tire they run that is bigger than stock but not so big it rubs bad on the fenders, (im not worried about having to trim the fenders a bit) thanks
